Getting started feeling God’s
presence and responses to you
vs. reading The Bible
Feeling close to God as you're reading your Bible is great and as it should be. However, it's not quite like the thrill of having His divine energy flow through you as he lets you know He's listening to you personally and being there for you, as you communicate with Him.

Being an engineer type, even as
a child, I was heard asking
people why this or why that.
When I wasn't asking why, I
would be asking how this or how
that, regarding something that
struck my interest. I once made
the mistake of asking my mother,
a person of great faith, how it
was possible for the Bible to be
so trusted by so many people
that base their faith upon it, as it
was written so long ago and
translated from one language to
another.
Once she got over the shock of hearing such a question, my mother informed me of how the Bible consisted of writings of numerous people, many of whom did not know one another and yet, their writings were much the same regarding the things which Christ taught and was involved in. Then, she proceeded to inform me of the Dead Sea Scrolls and how so many folks were shocked to hear how the scrolls did read exactly like pages in the Bible. This made a believer out of me! It seems like only yesterday to me, when this learning experience occurred but it was more like seventy years ago.
Though the Bible refers to feeling God's presence in numerous places, I honestly don't know if it refers to the electric like wave of energy that flows through many of us as we talk to God, especially when we're thanking Him for things and when He really wants us to know, He's going to handle some big challenges we face. I just know from years of experience that the wave of energy is a divine response from God/Jesus Christ. I have never had this experience when He didn't turn out to be with me on things of importance. I realize that most people, including most clergy, do not experience this divine and wonderful sensation that God uses to let us know He's hearing us and is also about to take care of us, but they could with a bit of coaching from someone. Sad they didn't have a mom like mine.
Once you have begun experiencing that wonderful wave of God's energy and it causes your own relationship with The Lord to grow like crazy, don't neglect to read and study your God inspired Bible. To a degree, having a super relationship with the Lord can make the Bible seem not as important as it once did but don't let it affect you like that because there are so many things to be gained from the Bible. After all, He inspired it to be written.
