The thrill of feeling God’s
presence and responses to you

vs. just enjoying singing a hymn

Feeling that powerful wave of energy flow through you as God is responding to you is thrilling! It’s more thrilling than if you’re just feeling close to Him, as people often do when they’re singing a hymn.

Music has long been a huge part of church services for centuries, even before Christ. Psalms, perhaps one of the most beloved parts of the Bible, was written by David and he intended for it to be mostly sung, or so biblical experts say. Hymns are a pleasant way for us to be reminded of basic truths which we need to remember in our daily lives. I guess I’m just an old stick in the mud, so to speak, but below is my favorite hymn of all because it reminds me of some of the most important things which we should all remember and to appreciate!

There is nothing, wrong with you and I enjoying singing hymns, as we just feel close to God, though not always feeling the strong and physical responses we like to feel at other times. Sometimes, you will enjoy both at the same time. It is not all that unusual, for someone to be “talking” to God, singing a hymn, and receive one of God’s strong physical responses, while singing the hymn. It depends, on Him and how strongly you mean what you’re singing to Him. Let us all strive to mean and feel all of those words we’re singing to the Lord.
